A note from the Elders serving the Longmire Rd Congregation,
We pray the Lord guide each of us during this time of pandemic caused by the COVID-19 virus. As Matt 14:23-31 teaches, we must “take heart…do not be afraid”, keeping our focus on Christ. Phip 4:4-8 reminds us to trust in God, not to be anxious, but by prayer, let your request be known to God, and the peace of God will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. As each of us make decisions as to where we go and what we do during this time, let us like James instructs regarding wisdom “let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and with no reproach, and it shall be given to him.
But let him ask in faith, doubting nothing”. We take comfort in Jesus words from Matt 18: 19-20 “Again, I assure you: If two of you on earth agree about any matter that you pray for, it will be done for you by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there among them." Therefore we encourage everyone to trust in God as your decide what steps to take to guard your health and that of your family. Those who can gather at our regular times of worship will be joined by Christ with those who need to isolate themselves for health’s sake, and will be worshipping at home. May God guard each and everyone of us as we look forward being able to come together again. Call anyone of us if we can assist with any need.
With love and concern for all in Christ Jesus,
